Only Curls natural hair product for curly hair is a brand for anyone with curly or wavy hair and is based in London in UK. Only curls London are a vegan hair brand that is light moisturising and hydrating and is curly girl method approved. The Only Curls hair care brand keeps selling out of their products and there is reason why.
My Hair type what is Only curls good for?
I spend so much time trying new products and the emphasis normally goes on technique rather than product. How you apply your product is a defining factor but different products compliment different hair types. My hair is is low porosity on the roots and high porosity on the ends which means my root area gets weighed down with product and the ends are dry so need moisture.

I tried the brand for the first time recently and was pleasantly surprised. There are four curl products.
- Only Curls All Curl Cleanser
- All Curl Conditioner
- Only curls Hydrating Curl Creme
- Enhancing Curl Gel.
These four cgm approved products are everything you need to turn your frizz into gorgeous curls. All of the products smell delicious with a light fresh citrus and coconut fragrance. The coconut is very subtle infact at first I couldn’t quite put my finger on what notes were coming through but it smells divine.
What Do Only Curls Ingredients Include?
KUKUI OIL
Fukui oil is rich in essential fatty acids and amino acids that can easily penetrate the hair. Kukui oil keeps curls moisturized, nourished and healthy. It is an effective leave in conditioner for the hair capable of restoring moisture and imparting more gloss and shine.
AVOCADO OIL
Avocado oil which is packed with antioxidants, minerals, vitamins and essential fatty acids. Avocado’s natural nutrients promote fabulous hair from the inside and outside. This oil helps seal the cuticle, locking in moisture and shine, while preventing breakage.
ALOE LEAF JUICE
Aloe leaf juice consists of water, 20 minerals, 12 vitamins, 18 amino acids, and 200 phytonutrients, making Aloe a great natural product. This ingredient restores curl health and strength. It is also a natural conditioning agent that adds shine and leaves hair silky smooth.
Free of nasty ingredients
Only Curls also pride themselves in being free of nasty ingredients. This means the products contain, NO SULPHATES, NO SILICONES, NO PARAGONS, NO ANIMAL TESTING and NO MINERAL OIL.
All Curl Cleanser 250ml
The only curls Cleanser is the perfect clarifying shampoo. This is not a lo-poo shampoo as it contains Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate which is a more of gentle cleanser. This is not as harsh as sulphate and is used to help get rid of impurities and build up. I loved this curly girl cleanser is it left my hair feeling completly clean and the perfect base to start applying my other products. It foamed really well particularly on the second wash and smelt amazing.

All Curl Conditioner 250ml
I also loved the Only Curls All Curl Conditioner again perfect for the Curly Girl Method it is the perfect slippy conditioner. After shampooing with the Only Curls Shampoo this conditioner gilded on to my hair. I left it for a few minutes while I was in the shower combed it through. I normally use a wet brush for this but you can use a wide tooth comb just as easily. Once I rinsed it my hair felt so silky I could run my fingers through it with no tangles at all! It felt really smooth and saturated.
All Curl Conditioner is Hydrating and is oil infused. It is blended with Jojoba, Coconut, Avocado, Kukui, Argan and Macadamia oils which naturally moisturise the hair. This Helps to detangle, add shine and reduce frizz.
Hydrating Curl Creme 250ml
This Curly girl approved curl creme is simply amazing! I Wasn’t sure if the creme was just a curl creme at first. I normally always use a leave in conditioner before I use any sort of curling creme. But I did not need to with this!
Only Curls Hydrating creme is hydrating and conditioning with all of its natural oils so it acts as a conditioning treatment as well. I was pleasantly impressed the light textured creme glides on and smells luxurious. This could be just the thing if you are a low porosity as its not too heavy or oily.
I used the cream in place of the leave in conditioners I normally use. I think this may be the game changer for me as the creme is so hydrating. I’m glad I took the chance and tried it without a curly girl leave in conditioner.

Enhancing Curl Gel, 250ML
This gel was nothing like a normal gel. Most curly girl gels are either a thick clear gel like a wet look gel or a curling custard. This is however similar in consistency to another well known light gel. The Enhancing Curl Gel is a light Liquid and is not a heavy at all. It does not leave a crunchy cast but it is much softer but definitely defined. You can play with how much you want to add to your hair I didn’t use too much but achieved great results. Again this gel has a fresh citrus and coconut fragrance

Overall impression of Only Curls natural hair product
It took less time for my hair to dry and it did not feel too dry on the ends when finished. I dried with a diffuser turning the dryer off every time I changed position. There was no frizz and my hair bounced right back feeling soft and very light, so much so my hair shrank up and had bigger more defined curls. Now this doesn’t normally happen with a wavy I was honestly shocked! Happy me and Happy Curls.
Another thing I noticed was my curls stayed bouncy, hydrated and held their shape much longer than usual. I Love how natural the products are and how they make my hair feel amazing even after a week!

I havent tried any but the enhancing curl gel sounds great – i recently read about the curly girl project and have just started in the last month following their regime and since have found my curls are developing really well but they could use a bit of definition
A dry oil spray, so far the best I have found is Kardashion brand on Amazon which smells devine!

I find John Frieda Frizz Ease Dream Curls Air-Dry Waves Styling Foam works quite well at holding my curls without them being frizzy.
Mines Bouclème Curl Defining Gel. I can’t recommend it enough it’s frizz control is amazing it defines and shapes my curls, and leaves me with body and bounce.
i have never tried this product before, will have to look for it when I go shopping next week
I haven’t really tried any curly hair products but I do regularly use coconut oil on my daughter’s curly hair and that seems to really help her curls 😊
