Art and painting Classes in Billericay at Barleylands Farm in Essex

For a while now I’ve been attending Dean Smith art classes at Barleylands farm in Essex. Dean runs the art classes at weekends and evenings in the art rooms. The idea is you go along and do whatever you want using any medium and you get some expert help while you do.

I attended once a week for 2 hours of relaxing painting or drawing. I’m not really sure what I was trying to achieve just really trying to see how different mediums work .

It’s a great place to learn and Dean gives some great guidance. It is also nice to meet other like minded people with creative minds!

I recently decided I wanted to create a piece for my sons room. I’d seen a picture similar on Pinterest but couldn’t find the link back so decided to paint it myself at Dean Smith art classes.

I kept the design principle the same changed the boot added some splats and bobs your uncle it’s all done! It took me a few sessions but I love it and so does my son. I loved playing around with the paint and trying and learning something new.

I hand painted it on a canvas using acrylics over a base of torn paper for texture.
