Beaches Turks and Caicos is situated in the beautiful island of providenciales , the beach that it is located on has won awards for being the best beach in the world as voted by the readers of condè vast travellers. It really is a stunning beach with pristine water and white sands.
Beaches Prides itself in being a large Luxury family all inclusive resort, From the moment you set foot at reception you know you and your family are going to have a great time.
This year our holiday was a little different, with two boys an independent teenager, and an 11 year old who’s just found his freedom we were a little worried as to how they would spend their time while we were relaxing. We needn’t of worried they did more than us!
Beaches is the perfect place for the young ones to let off some steam and express themselves.
With a full teens and tweens itinerary they will never be bored they can do as little or as much as they like with or without their parents. Each day is packed with fun such as watersports activities, Tie dye, and Soda Pong. I would suggest taking a cheap white t-shirt to do the tie dye, Harry and owen designed thier own t-shirts, and even I had a go.
Beaches know how hard it is for some children to make new friends so they encourage the older children by arranging meet up’s at the shadow lounge, the shadow lounge is a cool hangout area with pool tables, air hockey and even a DJ scratch desk.
A shadow lounge link up is held everyday so children can go off for breakfast , lunch or dinner together or do any of the activities. Our two boys are quite outgoing but finding friends on such a big resort may have been a task without this. It worked perfectly and by day 2 they had friends to meet up with everyday. Generally the kids would eat with us for dinner but if you as parents would like to eat in one of the adults only restaurant you needn’t worry about the kids finding thier friends.
The schedule for the teens and tweens host’s a variety of activities from beach volleyball to a mini disco cruise on the kitty Kat.
The Teens and tweens cruise was a big hit with my two, there is an extra charge for this as its run by Island Routes but it’s well worth the extra. Both of them throughly enjoyed it, the fact there was no parents was the best bit. They enjoyed an afternoon of disco music and soft drinks on the boat, a visit to iguana island followed by fun on the slide jumping in to the sea.
The huge pirates island was perfect for all of the family with a smaller slide area for toddlers and younger children and bigger tube slides and a lazy river for everyone else. We would lose them for hours here especially if Harry had the go-pro!
At Pirates island you will also find the shadow lounge , Bobby Dee’s diner and of course the X box lounge. There’s even a wave riding machine if you want to try a bit of surfing.
When the boys were younger we would spend a lot of time with them around the pool or join them on the lazy river at pirates island. This year they disappeared, having an awesome time with new friends. It was just nice knowing that they were safe and having a great time even if we did slightly miss them.
Bobby dee’s is the American style dinner restaurant situated in pirates island. It has its own swim up bar outside serving a variety of drinks, milkshakes with candy floss and popcorn machines inside too. Bobby dee’s is open until 6am and serving the likes of burgers, chilli dogs and chips by the menu and a pizza counter for instant food all day.
I’m sure during the day Harry lived on cookie dough Icecream, whenever we actually caught him for dinner he was always not hungry telling us that he’d already been to Bobbys.
The X box lounge was amazing, hosting plenty of Xbox’s a multitude of screens and plenty of games. This was good to get out of the sun for a bit or if it rained.
One of the boys favourite activities by far was the teens and tweens disco, no parents allowed!
After dinner Harry would even go back to the room to change for the disco. It’s held in a large nightclub called Club Liquid in the pirates island area from 9.30 till 11pm. Each night had a different theme from a glow party to pyjama party. The resort is very safe with plenty of security guards in and around the area so you get a peace of mind that they are safe.
Both of the boys took part in the diving on the resort, this is all free and a fantastic opportunity. You can for an extra charge actually take a course to get Padi certified and children can dive from the age of 8. Owen this year took his Advanced open water course while on the island. As you can see he thoroughly enjoys it.
Harry tried diving for the first time on this holiday he wasn’t quite so sure whether he would do it again, although he loved learning to dive and was completely looked after he didn’t feel it was for him. Im just so proud that he had the courage to do it on his own.
Overall Beaches Turks and Caicos is a great place for all of the family especially kids, and all ages are catered for. We will be going back hopefully some time soon as we felt like we all had the holiday that we wanted.
The family friendliness and the beautiful location were the main reasons for Choosing beaches, but there are so many other reasons which you don’t see until you are there. Thank you for reading Beaches Turks and Caicos for Teens.

I would LOVE to visit Beaches and it sounds perfect for teens and tweens. Love the picture of your son doing the dab (down with the kids) with the characters. Looks an amazing holiday and another one for my travel list x
I know I think that will be the first sesame street dab!
I love to visit a beach but never did so. But I will in the near future. Loved that pic of your son.
