Hello!
I have been a bit lost with good products lately and decided to give these a try. I enjoy the tea tree shampoo and conditioner and will be using those! I also picked up the argan oil treatment shots but see that they contain Dimethicone which makes me scared to use them.
Hi Ida, it’s a peg_12 dimethicone which means it is water soluble and should wash out with water. You should be fine! But I’m off to check the box again! Haha
Hi Likelovedo – do you know if the Xpel argan oil hair treatment with moroccan argan oil extract is CG friendly?
TIA
Hi just read ingredients it contains silicone so no sorry x
H, love your posts and your hair!! Could you tell me, have the x-pel products been discontinued as I’m struggling to find them?
X- pel? Do you mean xhc? Try savers, B and M, poundstretchers , home bargain all
Those sort of shops x
Xhc hair masks like the hemp one doesn’t say silicone free, which hair masks are silicone free
Hi, sorry just seen this. Yes the hemp one has silicone in. Have a look at the garnier hair food masks in most supermarkets they are around 2.50 to £4. I love the aloe Vera one best x
Really helpful post! Saw the different XHC shampoos are CG friendly for monthly clarify use, but the Hemp one isn’t on the list. Is that shampoo okay to use too? Thanks ☺
What do you think about the protein in XHC conditioners. I feel my hair has started to become stiff and dry. Maybe it’s the protein overload. Should i be rotating them with another moisturisng conditioner. Would love to hear your thoughts on it.
Yes I think I have to agree, they are not quite mosedrzing enough for me. I alternate between condishoners. Maybe try with out protein for a while and clarify x
I find sprays and mousses make my hair feel crispy. Would a curl cream be better for me.If so is there any you recommend? Also how do I keep my hair looking tidy without combing it , it always looks a little scruffy looking by the second day.
Yes a curl cream would not add the crunchy feel. But have you tried gently scrunching out the crispness? You will be left with soft curls
Such a helpful web-site! I love Savers and so pleased to hear there are a lot of affordable products I can buy there to try the CG method. I have been put off before because it seems to involve buying so many different products and I have spent years spending money on ‘miracle’ curly hair products that didn’t work.
Thank you. Yes you are right and not ever product works for every one. So when they are more affordable it makes it a bit easier for trial and error.
Hi I’m new and wanting to try the curly girl method. My hair is so thin and you can see my scalp through it (devastating for me). I have loose curls. Do you think trying this method will help me or make my hair look any thicker?
Sorry to hear this and sorry for the late reply. I would say it would give you more volume hence making it look thicker. If your hair is thin steet away from heavy butters oils and coconut. Noughty or only curls are nice and light to try.
