Meadow-Croft garden centre hosts an indoor German Christmas market each year in Wickford in Essex. This Indoor German Christmas Market in Essex is in the form of festive-laden stalls of German gifts, bratwurst sausages, German Beers and ornaments. I love the hustle and bustle of the traditional Christmas market and the excitement it brings.

The German Market is free to visit.

The German Market is free to attend and is open 7 days a week during the festive season from the second weekend in November to the 23rd of December.

26 Christmas stalls

There is approximately 26 Christmas stalls, each one full of different treats. I loved the wooden ornaments to decorate your home. With intricately cut houses and even music boxes, they would make the perfect home decoration for the festive time of year or a lovely gift. I was in awe of the Cuckoo clocks, too, I would love to have one of these in my home, a true classic.

German food and drinks galore

Visit the Biggest Indoor German Christmas Market in Essex and also find its full of authentic products to enjoy such as German beers and Gluhwein to help you soak up the festive atmosphere. Enjoy the traditional German market stalls, and be served by a team in traditional German outfits.

As well as festive drinks, There are a wide range of German foods on sale including bratwurst, sauerkraut, waffles and the delicious Schokokusse. The range of Schokokusse are extensive with flavours such as Caramel and even Champagne! ( mmm! adult treats! )

An Extensive Garden centre full of surprises

This fabulous indoor Essex Christmas market is great for a morning or afternoon out. Meadow Croft is a huge garden centre which is well equipped with a cafe restaurant, extensive garden supplies and also giftware. There is also a florist for all your floral needs, petcare and even birdcare supplies. You could easily spend an hour or two here.

Opening Times of Meadow Croft Garden Centre

Meadow Croft Garden Centre is open Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 5.30 pm and Sundays 10 am until 5 pm. The restaurant is also open daily for lunch and coffee and serves breakfast until 11 am.

You can catch the market from October until 23rd December and is open seven days a week during our opening hours.
