We have cruised on Royal Caribbean six times so far this year and have purchased the Royal Caribbean Drinks Package 5 of those 6 times. In this guide, we will share our experience of the beverage package and how it worked for us on our recent cruises. Including up-to-date Royal Caribbean drink menus from our recent sailings on Explorer of the Seas, Jewel, Oasis, Anthem of the Seas and Allure of the Seas in 2024 and 2025.

The Royal Caribbean drinks package prices vary from sailing to sailing, with the deluxe drinks package ranging from $63.00 to $127.00. And when you factor in a beer costs $7.99, white wine from $11 and cocktails from $15, it all adds up.

It’s also important to note that there is no daily limit to the drink packages on Royal Caribbean.
What Are the Different Types of Royal Caribbean Drinks Packages and How Much Are They?
There are four drinks packages on Royal Caribbean;
- The Deluxe Beverage package costs between $120 plus daily gratuities.
- The Refreshment Package is between $40 plus daily gratuities.
- The Classic Soda Package is $16 plus daily gratuities.
- The Water Bottle Package can be ordered in 6,12, and 24 cans, but prices vary.
- These prices are onboard as of August 2025. Prices do flutuate and can be purchased on sale on the app before sailing for cheaper.
Royal Caribbean Sometimes Offers Special Rates on Drinks Packages.
Checking the website for details on their current promotions is essential, and we do it regularly! Royal Caribbean offers year-round promotions, so you can only book your package immediately if it is a good deal. We recently booked our drinks package for our October 2025 cruise for £44 a night whilst on offer, it’s just a matter of checking the app daily.

What Does The Classic Soda Package Include?
Includes unlimited soda fountain refills in your souvenir cup. It was great for teens and perfect for our youngest son. There are tons of different sodas on the soda machines throughout the ship. Choose from Coca-Cola, Fruit flavours and energy drinks using the Coca-Cola souvenir cup you get with your package.
The Royal Caribbean Refreshment Package
The refreshment package is excellent for those not wanting to purchase alcohol. The refreshment package is non-alcoholic but includes non-alcoholic Cocktails and smoothies and costs between $40 plus gratuities per day.

The deluxe drinks package is excellent value and includes all of the following in with the price of the package; on our sailing, this was for drinks up to the value of $15.00. This was perfect for the adults in our party and when we worked out how many drinks we would drink, wine, cocktails, water and coffee the value was great.

Is The Royal Caribbean Drink Package Worth It?
For us, it was; if you like to have wine, lunch, dinner, a few afternoon cocktails, and evening drinks, then it adds up to make it worth it. Especially when you factor in morning coffee, water, soft drinks, and water to take back to your cabin at night. I used to take water back to the cabin, we were able to grab a can of water each before bedtime. I prefer sparkling water and this was available too.
The Water Bottle Drink Package on Royal Caribbean
The Water bottle package on Royal Caribbean lets you have 6, 12 or 24 packs of Water delivered to your stateroom. Perfect if you want bottled/canned water daily in your mini bar. Although if you have the drinks package, you can get canned still and sparkling water from the bar to take back to your cabin. You do not need this if you have a Deluxe Drinks Package as we were able to get water as part of the package.
Cafe Select Coffee Card on Royal Caribbean
This Royal Caribbean drinks package for coffee enables you to purchase a card that is punched as you go saving you up to 50% on each drink. A cafe select coffee card is also a great idea to let you indulge in up to 15 speciality coffees, premium teas and hot chocolates. A one time purchase card that can be shared between guests. This is not always available, so check your cruise dashboard.
Do You Need a Soda Package For Children If You Have A Package
No, there is free water, iced tea at all times onboard, and some juices available in the Windjammer cafe (buffet restaurant on the pool deck).
TOP TIP if you decide against purchasing a drinks package take a few small concentrated squashes with you to make a juice with the water provided.
Can I Use My Drinks Package in my Cruise Stateroom
No, drinks ordered on room service are ordered at current menu prices. Drinks in the cabin or from a mini bar are not included in the price of the Royal Caribbean Drinks Package. Although we took 2 bottles of Champagne to enjoy pre-dinner one night.
Can You Take Alcohol Onboard Royal Caribbean Ships?
Yes, you can take your own alcohol on a Royal Caribbean cruise. Perfect for celebrating in your cabin! Two bottles of wine or champagne per cabin can be taken onboard during turnaround and embarkation day. Any alcohol brought onboard on port days will be held by security until you disembark the ship.
