6 must-see cities in Europe 

Europe holds a special place in many people’s hearts. It’s a varied continent, with destinations each offering something a bit different. Even within cities, you’ll find a mix of culture, food, architecture, nature, history and much more. But what are the best European cities to visit? It’s hard to narrow it down, but here are just a few of the the Top must-see cities in Europe, Check them out:

1.   Paris

 The city of romance, Paris is also a great place to visit with friends – or on your own. Everything that makes the city so amazing – the food, the sights, the culture – can be enjoyed by everyone. If you love art, see impressionist and post-impressionist masterpieces in a former train station at Musée d’Orsay. If you’d rather soak in views than art, try the top of the iconic Arc de Triomphe.

 2.   Oslo

 Although it’s notoriously one of the most expensive cities to visit in Europe (or the world), Oslo still makes the list. The striking white opera house is one of the most recognisable sights, as you can walk up and down the sloping roof, enjoying views across the harbour. If you’re visiting in winter, make sure you wrap up warm and try your hand at cross-country skiing.

 3.   Budapest

 If you’re looking for a city that’s more affordable, Budapest is a great choice. Loads of the sights are free – including exploring all the Roman, Gothic and Turkish architecture you’re surrounded by. Be sure to pay for the thermal baths, though, where the temperature of the outdoor pools can reach about 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

 4.   Berlin

The capital city of Germany, Berlin, is a fantastic place to visit with friends. The nightlife is renowned and there are loads of restaurants and bars to enjoy through the city. That’s not to say you’ll be bored in the day, though. Far from it. Museums and art galleries are aplenty, and all worth visiting, especially if you want to learn about the past in a poignant way.

5.   Stockholm

 Pace of life is a bit slower in Stockholm than the other cities mentioned. As The Boho Chica mentions, while there is so much to do, life in Stockholm never feels as rushed as it can elsewhere. Embrace this and take a few extra days enjoying the parks, waterfronts, exploring islands in the Stockholm archipelago, eating at market halls and more.

 6.   Barcelona

Let’s get one thing out of the way first. If you’re booking up a trip to Barcelona, make sure you book one of Spain’s most popular attractions: La Sagrada Familia. You will need to  book in advance or you’ll end up in a huge queue down the road, missing out on what the rest of Barcelona has to offer – including the famous Gaudi architecture.

 If you’re into sports, be sure to check out Camp Nou, the home of FC Barcelona, too.

Travelling by river cruise would also be a perfect way to visit the Top must-see cities in Europe. Imagine visiting a different european city every day!
