With Christmas around the corner I had the pleasure of meeting up with a group of lovely people for some Christmas Inspiration with HomeSense in Birmingham.

This was the first Christmas event I had attended  this year so it really got me in to the festive spirit. I am late on organising Christmas so far, the tree is not up and no presents have been bought. We have been busy  painting  the walls and have still been deciding on furniture. In fact the whole house is a blank canvas ready to style.

I Have always been a fan of HomeSense and I can simply not walk out of a store without buying something beautiful or unique, so I was really excited to visit.

This was my first visit to Birmingham other than just sitting in traffic going past. The stunning Selfridges building has been on my list to photograph for quite some time.

The event itself was held in the restaurant and cocktail bar of  The Lost and found. The building in which lost and found sits is magnificent, and the architecture is beautiful.

Hidden in the Library behind a bookcase with the most trendy decor, was a glitzy party. The perfect place for somewhere like HomeSense to hold an event. There were bird wings on pictures, Neon signs and vintage books everywhere, perfectly quirky.

What I love about HomeSense is the unusual pieces you can purchase, sometimes one off bits that you will not not find anywhere else, and for a fraction of the price.

I love decorating my home for christmas and like to style the whole house, Here you can find amazing baubles  for your Christmas tree and beautiful ornaments for your home.  Cocktail shakers coated with glitter for entertaining and table mats and glass bowls for your table.

At Lost and found it was no exception the table was adorned  with Christmas ideas for entertaining , Im now fully inspired with  thoughts  to start decorating my home this year.

The metallic theme that was brought to decorate The lost and Found was stunning, they were pieces that are timeless and could be used year after year.

It was really nice meeting up with other other like-minded bloggers, I always find so much inspiration at these events. I met some lovely new friends and it wasn’t long before the bubbles were flowing and the canapes were demolished!

I have a very long list of purchases for my christmas theme this year, what a wonderful way to start! I’m now off out to HomeSense to fill my basket and cover my home in glitter! ( you think I’m joking! )

Thank you for reading My Christmas Inspiration with HomeSense in Birmingham

  1. Sounds as if you had a lovely evening Donna. I would have loved to attend but typically we were heading down to Birmingham a few days after. Husband and I had a night away there and I love the city. The Selfridges building is amazing isn’t it. Sounds as if you came away with lots of inspiration. And don’t worry, my tree doesn’t go up until the middle of December. Though I have been doing some online Christmas shopping x
