I love to draw and paint and make things and what better way than to start Art Journalling
I have been thinking about art a lot lately and not actually doing it. So when I saw the Bomo art journal from Pen Heaven I thought it would be the perfect thing to get me started on my art dream.
I love to draw and paint and make things and what better way than to start a journal. It could be an art journal, a written journal or a photo journal there is no time like the present.
I realised a long time ago I was not really Diary writer but I do use a diary for making practical lists to organise my week. Having a Journal however is the perfect idea for me. I can paint draw my day my feelings and my memories. I can unwind and spend a few minutes or even hours creating pretty things.
There is nothing better than a well made book that has been made with love.
There are so many artistic things I would like to do and a journal is perfect. I want to learn calligraphy, different paint techniques and media’s.
You can simply paint something or draw a picture. Write a story, embellish with stickers or memorabilia be creative and relaxed at the same time. You can organise, plan and record and then look back at what you have achieved.
I knew that I wanted a book that I could cherish to do the job. There is nothing better than a well made book that has been made with love. Bomo art is a company in Budapest that have been making stationary and leather bound books for years. Pen Heaven proudly supply these books to the Uk so no needs to travel far for them.
Their products feature fine quality binding, watermarked paper and even hidden Budapest architecture on the covers. The stunning botanical illlustraions on the cover and a sumptuous leather bound spine they truely books to treasure. I opted for a sketch book as I thought it would be more versatile in landscape and portrait orientation for what I wanted to do.
What would be better to start my journal journey in?
Fill your book with the wonders of the world
I was so excited to try out my journaling and express myself in my journal. With my profound love for travel I am going to take a book with me and fill it with the wonders of the world. I recently went to Tuscany it was so pretty I was i was inspired to paint the door of the villa.
I have always had a desire to be able to write beautifully. So this year I have been practicing Calligraphy. Pen Heaven also stock some great pen holders and nibs which do the job perfectly and look so pretty too.
The charm of this traditional dip pen is so exquisite. Dip pens have been around since the early 1800s and remained a common feature in schools, homes and classrooms for the next 100 year. With this Italian-made gift set you receive a section of nibs and the most beautiful pewter capped bottle.
I hope you have enjoyed my post on Art Journalling with Bomo Art and Pen Heaven. I hope to get creative this year and share it with you.
