It’s been a while since a wrote a weekly roundup infact as soon as I started writing it I realised just how much I enjoy writing it and how inspiring the people are around me. This weeks word of the week is Inspired.

The past week seemed quite calm yet the coming weeks do not, so I’m sure my weekly roundup may go missing again but for now here it is.

My weekend started with a visit from Sarah from Extraordinary Chaos as we prepared for a weekend at Traverse Events.

We took high tea in Cinnamon Bazaar which is one of favourite places to eat. We were thoroughly spoilt and a post is to follow.

Sarah and I certainly made the most of our trip to London, on route to the first Traverse Events night opening party we stopped off in the beautiful Bronte restaurant and bar for a quick cocktail. We were quickly seated and our bartender made us a personalised concoction, whilst we chatted in the stylish interior designed surroundings. I would love to come back here and try the food we could sat there for much longer. Next stop was the opening party for Traverse in Westminster in the stunning Skylofts. We caught up with friends and did quite a bit more drinking!

Day two was all about meeting up with some great inspiring blogging girlies, some old faces and some new ones too.

Two lovely new girls to our group of friends were Katy from Otis and Us and Daisy from Dais like this. We all got on so well chatting, sharing notes and drinks and taking each other’s photos. I’m sure we will all catch up again soon.

Traverse Events took place in the amazing ravensbourne building at the O2, with seminars running all day I picked up lots of great advice.  Photography, social media info, branding your blog and much more it was a mind of information.

With so much to process I had to take many notes. One of my favourite sessions was how to create successful professional partnerships based on the written word. All about enhancing your creative writing and pitching successfully to editors. Abigail King is very clever at what she does and certainly inspired me write more. I am looking at taking a creative writing course now to help me. So watch this space, you never know one day I may make sense!

The networking party on Saturday night took place on City Cruises, a fantastic cruise along the Thames at sunset past the Thames barrier to Tower of London and back up to Westminster.

This week has also been all about the dogs, poor old man Yoda had to have 12 teeth out! This makes me feel so bad as a dog owner and has taught me a valid lesson. From now on they will all be blessed with a good old teeth clean. Starting early with your puppy is the best thing you can do getting them used to the brush and paste.

On a lighter note Django had his first walk, he loved it and walked well off the lead as well as on. A nice walk across the fields towards the pub to pick the car up, It was the perfect way to wear them all out.

This week was also our second book club meeting. The book of choice was The breakdown by B.A Paris. (review to follow) I love the fact we have started a book club, It pushes me to read more which is something that I love.

I Still have not finished! The highlight of my week was a visit to the Royal Albert hall. My Son Harry had the most amazing opportunity to perform in Magic At The Musicals with the cast of School of Rock.

To say they smashed it was an understatement. Hubby and I treated outselves to VIP tickets and a meal at the Coda restaurant inside the Royal Albert hall, which was very special to say the least.

I really couldn’t come up with a word that summed up this week apart from inspired!

I’ve been inspired by my fabulous blogging friends, my hugely talented son and his friends and the awesome guest speakers at Traverse Events.

If you would like to hear about what we thought about the Traverse Events head over to Trips 100 for some inspiration from Lisa at Travel Loving Family and friends.

I love writing word of the week it makes me content.

Thank you for reading

  1. Ah Traverse sounds so much fun and I wish I had been able to come along. You must have been so proud seeing your son perform at The Albert Hall, what an amazing achievement. Love the picture of your 3 dogs, but poor Yoda having 12 teeth out, ouch x
