Londons windows are a fantastic show every year at Christmas, here is the Selfridges Oxford Street Christmas Windows of 2016.

Ever since I can remember my mum and my Nan would take me to London to see the Christmas lights and windows. From Hamleys toy store down to Selfridges, normally followed by a visit to Santa in selfridges itself. I have always loved London and I share the enthusiasm that my nan once had.
I can always remember there being a huge queue but during the entire wait there would be plenty to look at. Every year was different and the outside windows would reflect the theme.
I remember one year it being Rupert the bear and another Peter Rabbit, You would always get a present and a badge that said I’ve visited Santa at selfridges ( I still have these ) It was always so magical. I still get that little child buzz of Christmas when I see them now.
Over the years the windows have progressed and they seem to pull out all of the stops. This year was no exception!
This year it appears that Santa may have been out partying a bit too much! I hope he does not wear himself out before Christmas eve. Lets see what he’s been up too.
It Looks like santa did prepare a few presents this christmas eve before he went AWOL.
Santa then caught a flight with his two pet poodles, and the very latest in designer sequin Santa suits…..
He gate crashed a dinner party hosted my a huge Polar bear…..
And turned up drunk to the office party!…
Not wanted to drink and fly Santa took a cable car…..
He then took his turn spinning some tunes on the on the DJ stand…..
A quick get away with his stereo because Santa had a date….
with a quick change Santa was the perfect host for a soirée in a sauna….
He escaped with the ladies and took the first ski lift to….
Boogie the night away in the the local disco sporting a hot off the catwalk silver Santa suit….
I think Santa may need to relax he has done far too much partying!…
Wow Santa you have been busy! The next train back to the North pole for you we think.

Wow what a story. I have never visited London over Christmas but each year we keep saying we need to head down for a mini break. The time and effort that must have gone in to create such amazing window displays. I love your first photo of London and all the lights x
